Cebu is now considered as "The Crown Jewel of Asia" because of its record-breaking number of participants for the upcoming Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines on August 2.
World Triathlon Corporation organized the Ironman 70.3 which consists of a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride and a 21.1 km run.
The Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines is a qualifying race to the 2016 Ironman 70.3 World Championship that will be held in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
It is a pleasure for Cebu to hold Ironman 70.3 for the fourth time. This year, a total of 2,618 participants from 52 different countries including United States, Australia, France, Malaysia, Hongkong, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Phippines.
During the race week, the annual Asia-Pacific Ironman Conference will also be held in Cebu.
